Obiettivi del corso

Gli obiettivi del corso sono quelli di fornire agli studenti le nozioni della ingegneria economica (modalità di prestito e di rimborso dei capitali, analisi degli investimenti nel settore privato e pubblico, partenariato pubblico-privato e finanza di progetto), volte alla valutazione della fattibilità economico-finanziaria di un’opera ingegneristica, nonché le conoscenze della microeconomia inerenti la domanda e l’offerta, il comportamento dei consumatori e dei produttori nonchè i mercati concorrenziali.

Contenuti del corso

  • PRIMA PARTE – L’interesse; l’equivalenza economica ed i fattori finanziari; i mutui; le obbligazioni; l’inflazione; il bilancio d’impresa; il business plan; l’analisi degli investimenti e la scelta tra alternative d’investimento; gli investimenti nel settore pubblico e l’analisi costi-benefici; la finanza di progetto; esempi di opere realizzate mediante modelli di finanza di progetto basati sulla cooperazione tra diversi soggetti.
  • SECONDA PARTE – La domanda e l’offerta; il comportamento del consumatore; la domanda individuale e di mercato; la produzione; i costi di produzione; la massimizzazione del profitto e l’offerta concorrenziale.

  • Dispense del Docente relative ai temi bilancio d’impresa e business plan nonché ad esercizi di microeconomia inerenti il programma.

Economics Applied Engineering

 

Aim of the Course

The objectives of the course are to provide students with the basics of engineering economy (terms of loan and the repayment of capital, investment analysis in the private and public sector, public-private partnerships and project financing), aimed at assessment of the economic and financial feasibility of engineering work as well as knowledge of microeconomics relating to the supply and demand, the behavior of consumers and producers, as well as competitive markets.

Contents

  • PART ONE – The interest; the economic equivalent and financial factors; mortgages; bonds; inflation; the company financial statements; the business plan; investment analysis and the choice between investment alternatives; investments in the public sector and the cost-benefit analysis; project financing; examples of works made by models of project financing based on cooperation between different actors.
  • PART TWO – The supply and demand; consumer behavior; individual and market demand; production; costs of production; profit maximization and competitive offer.
